VCD: Volume Control Damper

A volume control damper (VCD) is an economical and reliable iron valve typically used in ventilation duct systems to stabilize pressure, regulate airflow, and reduce noise. Similar to an OBD, a VCD is generally used in ventilation ducts to adjust airflow, while an OBD is used on the back of an air vent to adjust airflow.

Standard Construction

  • Manual (Figure 1) or electric (Figure 2)* control
  • Zinc-iron blades are available in two options: single blade or double-skin.
  • Shafts and connecting rods can be made of 304 or 316 stainless steel.
  • Stainless steel side sealing strip
  • The blades can be arranged either parallel or opposite (Figure 1 shows opposite blades).
  • Minimum dimensions are 150W x 150H x 200(D) mm
  • The maximum size is 1500W x 1500H mm.
