FD: Mild Steel Fire Damper
Mild Steel Fire Damper (Flanged Fire Damper or Homemade Fire Damper) - The FD series is a traditional fire damper with a long history in Hong Kong. Tests show that when a fire breaks out, the flames melt the fire bell within one second, and the fire damper closes using the weight of the blades. Our manufacturing standards are based on the requirements of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department: the outer shell and blades are made of at least 6mm thick wrought steel, the blade shaft is made of brass bearings, the outer frame is made of angle iron to prevent deformation, the lateral gap between the blades and the outer shell is less than 1.5mm, and the overlap between the blades is at least 5mm. Any size can be customized, but the blade length must not exceed 600mm. If it does, a modular fire damper must be used for protection.

- Use standard angle iron flanges according to size.
- Multiple methods are available (hanging gate/wall-mounted/floor-mounted platform, etc.)
- It can withstand the BS476 PART 20 standard test for 4 hours of fire resistance.
