The drum louver assembly is strategically positioned to regulate high‑volume air intake and exhaust while maintaining the architectural integrity of the upgraded space. Key features include:
Design & Construction – Circular drum housing fabricated from corrosion‑resistant aluminum alloy, with fixed or adjustable curved blades engineered for low pressure drop and effective rain/air separation.
Performance Role – Supports the upgraded HVAC and pressurization system in the immigration hall by balancing fresh air supply, minimizing infiltration of unconditioned external air, and reducing airborne dust ingress.
Accessibility – Installed with removable access panels and stainless steel bird/insect screens to facilitate routine cleaning and maintenance in line with terminal operations standards.
Integration – Blends with the refreshed interior and external façade finishes of the L5 Arrivals area, meeting both aesthetic guidelines and functional requirements for immigration processing efficiency.
Compliance – Designed and installed per applicable building codes, airport authority standards, and the project’s environmental sustainability targets (including noise attenuation performance).
The drum louver serves as a key component in enhancing indoor air quality and thermal comfort for arriving passengers and immigration personnel, while supporting overall mechanical system reliability within the upgraded Terminal 1 environment.
